Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is recruiting a Year 1 Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Towcester, starting in November 2026. The role is full-time, long-term with potential permanent placement, teaching KS1 and supporting pupils transitioning from the Early Years to Key Stage 1.

The ideal candidate will have QTS, strong literacy and numeracy knowledge, excellent classroom management, and a collaborative approach with staff and parents to foster a love of learning in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 is desirable.
• Strong literacy and numeracy understanding for early years transition.

Responsabilités

A welcoming primary school in Towcester is looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team from November 2026. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 1 and Key Stage 1 curriculum.

• Support pupils with their transition from Reception into Year 1, encouraging independence and confidence.
• Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress to identify individual learning needs and support development.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles.
• Establish positive behaviour management strategies and consistent classroom routines.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support pupil achievement.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including enrichment activities and school events.

Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 is desirable.
