Job summary

TLTP Education is recruiting a Year 1 Teacher for a primary school in Barnet, North London. The role involves teaching a Year 1 class, planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum, and supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.

The successful candidate will hold QTS or equivalent, with KS1 experience, strong classroom management, and a proactive, nurturing approach. This is a long-term, full-time position through an agency, starting in November.

Year 1 Teacher – Key Responsibilities

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will:

Year 1 Teacher – About You

The successful Year 1 Teacher will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching in a primary school, ideally within KS1.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with young pupils.
  • A proactive, organised and flexible approach.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and helping children achieve their potential.
