Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Year 1 Teacher for a 2027 January start at a well-regarded two-form entry primary school in Ealing Broadway. The contract runs through July 2027 with a possibility to extend.

The post offers a supportive KS1 team, strong leadership and a collaborative planning environment, within a diverse, inclusive school community served by excellent transport links.

Qualifications

• Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1.
• Secure understanding of phonics and KS1 curriculum.
• Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 1 class from January 2027.
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned to the National Curriculum.
• Deliver high-quality phonics and early reading provision.
• Support pupils' progress across reading, writing and maths.
• Collaborate with the KS1 team and parallel Year 1 teacher.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
