The successful candidate will have QTS or a recognised UK qualification, with experience in Year 1 and strong classroom management to help pupils transition into Key Stage 1.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering the Year 1 curriculum with differentiation for varying abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 1 curriculum.
• Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support pupils as they transition from the Early Years into Key Stage 1.
• Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and needs.
• Monitor pupil progress and use assessment effectively.
• Develop positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and its community.
