Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join our team in Walsall. This role focuses on providing tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs within the Year 1 class, helping them access learning and build confidence in a supportive school environment.

You will collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to plan activities, manage behaviour positively, and support social and emotional development. Ongoing training and a £250 referral bonus are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 121 Teaching Assistants to join our Aspire Team and work in one of our schools in Walsall. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the school environment in their Year 1 class.

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).
• Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
