Job summary

Aspire People is seeking dedicated 1:1 Early Years Teaching Assistants to support a pupil with additional needs in a Walsall school. You will help access learning, build confidence, and foster a positive learning environment in Early Years provision.

Ideal candidates have school-based experience and an understanding of SEN or additional needs, with patience, empathy and strong communication. Level 2/3 TA qualifications are desirable but not essential; a referral bonus is offered for successful

Early Years Teaching Assistant - Walsall

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 121 Teaching Assistants to join our Aspire Team and work in one of our schools in Walsall. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the school environment in their Early Years provision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
• Help to manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
• Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).
• Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
