Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team in Walsall. You will provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and thrive in the Early Years setting.

The role involves collaborating with teachers and SENCOs, assisting in planning engaging activities, supporting social and emotional development, and contributing to a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).
• Understanding of supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• Positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 121 Teaching Assistants to join our Aspire Team and work in one of our schools in Walsall. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the school environment in their Early Years provision.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
• Help to manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
• Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).
• Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
