Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited is seeking a Yard Team Member in St Columb to support yard and store operations. This temporary role runs for 3 months with full-time hours and 37.5 hours per week on a rota.

You will handle stock, assist customers, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Responsibilities include stock receiving and loading, POS support when needed, stock checks, and upholding health and safety standards across external areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail environment (preferred).
• Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings (beneficial).
• Forklift truck licence (advantageous).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
• Good IT skills and confidence using systems.

Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard.
• Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting Point of Sale operations when required.
• Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation.
• Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting seasonal stock reviews.
• Participating in stocktaking and maintaining stock file integrity.

Description

We’re looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Yard Team Member to support the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for our members and customers, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

About The Role

Contract: Temporary - 3 months

Hours: Full-time

Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours per week, working on a rota basis

As a Yard Team Member, you’ll play a key role in stock handling, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You’ll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard
