Job summary

Personal Best Worldwide in Morecambe is seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee a 4-acre site and a small team. You’ll manage non-ferrous, ferrous and ELV operations, ensure safety, compliance and efficient yard flow while coordinating with directors and the commercial manager.

Ideal candidates have a background in metal recycling, quarrying or waste, with hands‑on machine operation and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Site Foreman or Supervisor.
• Experience in metal recycling, quarrying or waste industries is desirable.
• IOSH managing safely is desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of HSE and environmental policies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the yard and coordinate with directors.
• Direct, organise and reallocate staff to maximise yard output.
• Oversee weighbridge operations, traffic control and loading out.
• Ensure machinery is serviced and inspected on time.
• Direct on-site health, safety and environmental practices.
