The Best Connection Group Limited is seeking a Yard Operative to join a busy site in Newmarket. The role involves hands-on work with non-ferrous metals and recycling operations, delivering excellent customer service while supporting a fast-paced environment.

You will operate and monitor the Sorting Line, perform daily checks, assist with loading/unloading, and help keep the site clean and safe. A reliable, customer-focused attitude is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Experience operating industrial, recycling, production, or processing equipment.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A hands-on attitude and willingness to support the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring the Sorting Line safely and efficiently.
• Conducting daily plant checks and inspections.
• Supporting customers delivering recyclable materials and providing excellent service.
• Monitoring machinery performance and identifying faults or maintenance requirements.
• Assisting with routine cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance activities.
• Loading, unloading, and moving materials safely around the site.
• Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
