Job summary

Jewson in Plymouth is seeking a part-time Yard Sales Advisor to join our branch team. The role runs 30 hours per week with flexible hours Monday to Friday and one Saturday morning every other week.

You will help customers, manage yard and shop floor activities, and assist with loading/unloading vehicles using a forklift with training provided. We value enthusiastic, decently motivated individuals who thrive in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge every customer and assess needs to deliver quick, efficient service

• Operate machinery safely and carry out activities like offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support initiatives to increase sales, margin and service
• Develop knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Load and unload vehicles, including forklift use (training provided)

We are recruiting for a Yard Sales Advisor to join our friendly Jewson branch in Plymouth, Richmond Walk PL1 4LL.

This is a part-time role (30 hrs a week) with flexible hours Monday-Friday and the requirement of every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
