Job summary

Balmoral Comtec Limited in Aberdeen is seeking a proactive Yard Operator to support our on-site yard and waste management operations. You will keep yards tidy, move skips, and operate site equipment safely and efficiently.

The role requires a valid forklift licence and experience with JCB diggers or similar machinery, plus a COSHH awareness. You will help maintain high safety standards and a clean, organised site for production teams.

Qualifications

• Previous labouring or yard operations experience.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Forklift truck operating experience.
• Previous experience operating a JCB digger or similar industrial vehicle.
• Previous experience handling industrial waste.
• COSHH awareness or training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard environment.
• Empty skips and waste containers safely and on time.
• Maintain tidy skip areas, yard spaces, and surroundings.
• Transport waste from production areas to storage locations.
• Remove litter and debris to uphold site standards.
• Operate a forklift safely per procedures.
• Operate a JCB digger and other authorised equipment.

Yard Operator

Responsibilities

• The Yard Operator is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard environment. The role requires a reliable and conscientious individual who can work independently, support waste management activities, and operate site equipment safely and efficiently.
• Empty skips and waste containers in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain clean and tidy skip areas, yard spaces, and surrounding work environments.
• Transport waste from production areas to designated waste storage locations.
• Remove litter and debris from yard and car parking areas to maintain site standards.
• Operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with site procedures and training.
• Operate a JCB digger and other authorised equipment to support yard operations.

Qualifications

• Previous labouring or yard operations experience.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Forklift truck operating experience.
• Previous experience operating a JCB digger or similar industrial vehicle.
• Previous experience handling industrial waste.
• Understanding of, or training in, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) requirements.
