Job summary

Freudenberg is seeking an experienced Yard Operator to maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised yard. The role involves waste management, operating site equipment safely, and supporting production with efficient material handling.

The ideal candidate will have prior yard experience, a valid forklift licence, and familiarity with JCB digger operations. COSHH awareness is preferred to help maintain regulatory compliance and a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Previous labouring or yard operations experience.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Forklift truck operating experience.
• Previous experience operating a JCB digger or similar industrial vehicle.
• Previous experience handling industrial waste.
• Understanding of, or training in, COSHH requirements.

Responsibilities

• Empty skips and waste containers in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain clean and tidy skip areas, yard spaces, and surrounding work environments.
• Transport waste from production areas to designated waste storage locations.
• Remove litter and debris from yard and car parking areas to maintain site standards.
• Operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with site procedures and training.
• Operate a JCB digger and other authorised equipment to support yard operations.
