GRS Group in Tyttenhanger seeks a proactive Yard Operative to drive mobile plant and operate bagging equipment on site. You will work in all weather, collaborating with a motivated team, and contribute to daily manual tasks with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, compliant & efficient production of bagged aggregates.
• Ensure high standards of Health & Safety at all times, reporting any issues, accidents and near miss to line manager.
• Work as part of a high performing team to produce bagged aggregates for customers with focus on quality and production.
• Operate a Forklift truck and loading shovel depending on site requirement.
• Completion of fixed plant and mobile plant inspections.
• Bag aggregates in a plastic and bulk bag to the required target levels with training provided.
• Net and sheet lorries as requested by line manager.
• General housekeeping duties as requested by line manager.
• Good communication with all drivers, yard operatives and delivery drivers.
• Responsibility for compliance and discharging HR and Health & Safety duties to promote a safe workplace.

Job Purpose

A yard operative needs to be willing of driving mobile plant and learning the use of the bagging machines on site. They need to be able to work in all weather conditions and work within a highly motivated team with good communication being fundamental within the role. Manual work is required on a daily basis.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
