Job summary

GRS Group is seeking a motivated yard operative in Harefield to support the production of bagged aggregates on site. You will operate mobile plant, assist with bagging operations and work in all weather as part of a focused team committed to safety, quality and timely deliveries.

Training will be provided; prior experience in yard operations is beneficial. The role requires a Can-Do attitude, good communication and flexibility to handle daily tasks and shifts.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Training will be given but experience in the above areas will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, compliant & efficient production of bagged aggregates.
• Ensure high standards of Health & Safety at all times, reporting issues and accidents to line manager.

Job Purpose

A yard operative needs to be willing of driving mobile plant and learning the use of the bagging machines on site. They need to be able to work in all weather conditions and work within a highly motivated team with good communication being fundamental within the role. Manual work is required on a daily basis.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, Compliant & Efficient production of bagged aggregates.
• Ensure high standards of Health & Safety at all times, reporting any issues, accidents and near miss to line manager.
• Work as part of a team high performing team to produce bagged aggregates for our customers with focus on quality and production key.
• Operate a Forklift truck, depending on site requirement.
• Completion of fixed plant and mobile plant inspections.
• Bag aggregates in a plastic and bulk bag to the required target levels with relevant training given.
• Net and sheet lorries as and when requested by line manager.
• General housekeeping duties as and when requested by line manager.
• Good communication with all drivers, yard operatives and delivery drivers.
• Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant work place.
