Job summary

Haldane Fisher Limited is hiring a Yard Operative in Newry to load, pick, move and store materials safely for customers and drivers. You will be hands-on, safety-first and dedicated to helping customers build with confidence.

The role involves loading, unloading vehicles, preparing orders, operating FLT when licensed, stocking, and assisting in the yard with a strong safety culture. Training and progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Experience in timber and building materials is a plus.
• Forklift experience preferred but not essential.
• Physically capable with reliable attendance.

Yard Operative - Newry

We're looking for a Yard Operative to join us. In this role you'll load, pick, move and store materials safely and efficiently, providing helpful service to customers and drivers.You'll be hands-on, safety-first and proud of the work you deliver.Most of all, it's a role where what you do really matters - every day you'll help our customers build with confidence.

What you'll be doing

• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Pick and prepare customer orders.
• Operate FLT/equipment where licensed.
• Maintain stock condition and housekeeping.
• Assist customers and drivers in the yard.
• Adhering to all Health and Safety procedures at all times

What you'll bring

• Forklift and/or Timber experience - preferred but not essential

Hours:Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 16.30pm

Fridays 7:30am - 15.30pm

Saturdays (alternating) 8am-12.30pm.
