Job summary

Adler & Allan in Standlake is seeking a proactive Yard Operative to join our busy site. You’ll work outdoors, handle waste materials and support the yard team onsite.

No two days are the same, with duties including sorting, labelling, stock control and assisting with loading/unloading. A forklift licence is ideal and a flexible approach to shift work is required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and follow safety processes.
• Reliability and good communication.
• Happy to work outdoors all year round.
• Ideally with a forklift licence.
• Ability to work well within a team and be flexible with shift working.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the acceptance, handling and disposal of various waste streams.
• Labelling, sorting and storing waste materials.
• Cleaning barrels, containers and yard areas.
• Helping with stock control.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days are the same!You’ll work closely with our Yard Supervisor, Site Manager, Drivers and Operations teams to keep the site running safely and smoothly. Your role will include:

• Assisting with the acceptance, handling and disposal of various waste streams
• Labelling, sorting and storing waste materials
• Cleaning barrels, containers and yard areas
• Helping with stock control
• Supporting the site team with loading/unloading tasks
