Job summary

Adler & Allan in Standlake is seeking a proactive Yard Operative to join our busy site. You will work outdoors, assist with waste handling, stock control and loading/unloading tasks, and help keep the yard safe and tidy.

The role requires a forklift licence, flexibility with shifts and reliable, team-oriented communication. Training on safety processes will be provided and you’ll be supported by a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience with outdoor yard work is preferred.
• Forklift licence is preferred.
• Able to work flexible shift patterns.
• Reliable with good communication.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with acceptance, handling and disposal of waste streams.
• Label, sort and store waste materials.
• Clean barrels, containers and yard areas.
• Help with stock control.
• Support loading/unloading tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days are the same!You’ll work closely with our Yard Supervisor, Site Manager, Drivers and Operations teams to keep the site running safely and smoothly. Your role will include:

• Assisting with the acceptance, handling and disposal of various waste streams
• Labelling, sorting and storing waste materials
• Cleaning barrels, containers and yard areas
• Helping with stock control
• Supporting the site team with loading/unloading tasks
