Job summary

Adler & Allan is seeking a Yard Operative for our Standlake site on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll work outdoors, loading, unloading, sorting and disposing waste, while keeping areas clean and organized. A forklift licence is preferred and reliability, teamwork, and strict safety procedures are essential.

Join a supportive, hands-on team and contribute to efficient yard operations across varied waste streams, with training and ongoing development provided.

Qualifications

• Must be happy to work outdoors all year round.
• Ideally have a forklift licence.
• Works well within a team and is flexible with shift working.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety processes.
• Reliability and good communication.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days are the same!You’ll work closely with our Yard Supervisor, Site Manager, Drivers and Operations teams to keep the site running safely and smoothly. Your role will include:

• Assisting with the acceptance, handling and disposal of various waste streams
• Labelling, sorting and storing waste materials
• Cleaning barrels, containers and yard areas
• Helping with stock control
• Supporting the site team with loading/unloading tasks
