Job summary

Veolia in Hinckley, LE10 3ED is seeking a Yard Operative to support loading and unloading with a 360 grab, and to maintain the yard and safety standards. You will handle materials, keep areas tidy, and ensure equipment is well maintained.

This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. A valid 360 excavator license (tracked and wheeled) and CPC/Digi card are advantageous. 45 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 06:00-15:30.

Qualifications

• 360 Excavator license (tracked & wheeled) to operate grab.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles with 360 grab; handling materials safely and storing in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and surrounding areas.
• Perform general yard maintenance including sweeping, tidying and minor repairs.
• Report any vehicle damage or maintenance issues to management.
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
