Job summary

Marshalls plc is seeking a Yard Team Manager to lead the safe and efficient operation of a busy civils and drainage yard in Pollington. You will oversee stock movement from production to dispatch, manage a team of around 25 operatives, and drive performance to meet KPIs while maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards.

Working closely with production and transport teams, you will implement continuous improvement, monitor OEE, and ensure compliance with site policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supervisory or managerial role in concrete or construction materials industry.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills; ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Exceptional organisational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for operational reporting and communication; knowledge of OEE.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe and efficient operation of a busy civils and drainage yard; ensure yard utilisation and on-time deliveries.
• Oversee movement of stock from production into the yard and dispatch; supervise loading/unloading and use of equipment.
• Manage a team of circa 25 operatives; handle attendance, holidays, training, welfare and discipline; ensure safety and KPI delivery.
