Job summary

Anne Corder Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Yard Controller for an established manufacturing business in Lincolnshire. The role is hands-on, ensuring day-to-day yard activity runs safely, efficiently and in coordination with Production, Warehouse and Logistics.

You will oversee deliveries, stock movements, loading/unloading, and documentation, while maintaining records and seeking improvements in vehicle flow and yard efficiency. A strong safety mindset is essential for this operational role.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics or yard environments.
• Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing demands.
• Experience with stock control and paperwork checks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating deliveries, collections, trailers and vehicle movements.
• Managing safe loading, unloading, parking and storage areas.
• Working with Production, Warehouse and Logistics to keep collections and deliveries on track.
• Checking incoming and outgoing loads and paperwork.
• Maintaining accurate stock, vehicle and equipment records.
• Keeping the yard organised and identifying potential safety issues.
• Liaising with drivers, hauliers, contractors and suppliers.
• Supporting stock control and investigations into missing or damaged goods.
• Looking for ways to improve vehicle flow, storage and yard efficiency.
