Job summary

BCA Group is seeking a proactive Yard Manager to lead the Corby G site operations, ensuring safe, efficient vehicle flow and precise stock control. You will manage a high-performing yard team and collaborate with the Operations Manager to align with processes and production routes.

Qualifications

• Line management or team leadership experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential for moving vehicles on site).
• Strong organisational skills with ability to communicate clearly to teams and first-line supervisors.
• Confident delegating tasks and motivating teams to meet targets and deliver high-quality work.
• Skilled in generating reports, presenting information and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong collaboration across levels of the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily yard operations - oversee vehicle storage, parking and movement to ensure correct production routes.
• Maintain accurate vehicle records and tracking to locate vehicles quickly.
• Control budgets and costs, monitor overtime, labour and damage costs.
• Champion health & safety standards for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Develop and manage your team through coaching, performance reviews and recruitment.
• Resolve issues and complaints and escalate complex matters as needed.
• Support wider site operations and deputise for other department heads when required.
