Job summary

Igloo Ltd. seeks experienced Yard Drivers for a busy fleet operation at Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire. You will move vehicles safely around the site and yard, take vehicles to workshops, and park them in designated bays while supporting the wider fleet.

The role involves driving a range of vehicles, including hybrids and electrics, with manual and automatic transmissions, in an active automotive environment. We offer weekly pay, a company pension, onsite parking and ongoing work with a leading

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence with 0–3 points for minor offences.
• Candidate must be aged 21 or over due to insurance requirements.
• Experience driving both manual and automatic transmissions is required.
• Comfortable driving hybrid and electric vehicles.
• Previous professional driving or vehicle compound experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles safely around the site and yard.
• Take vehicles into workshops and bodyshops as required.
• Park vehicles in designated bays and move between areas of the site.
• Drive cars, vans, hybrids and electric vehicles.
• Carry out basic visual checks before moving vehicles and report issues.
• Follow site safety procedures and standards while moving vehicles.
• Work outdoors and support the wider fleet operation.

We are currently recruiting for experienced Yard Drivers to join a busy fleet operation in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for competent and reliable drivers to work within a professional automotive environment, carrying out vehicle movements across the site.

The Role:

As a Yard Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Moving vehicles safely around the site and yard.
• Taking vehicles into workshops and bodyshops as required.
• Parking vehicles in designated bays and moving them between different areas of the site.
• Driving a range of vehicles, including cars, vans, hybrids and electric vehicles.
• Driving vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Carrying out basic visual checks before moving vehicles and reporting any damage or issues.
• Following site procedures and maintaining high standards of safety when moving vehicles.
• Working outdoors and supporting the wider fleet operation as required.

The Person:

• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 points for minor offences.
• Must be aged 21 or over due to insurance requirements.
• Confident driving a range of vehicle makes and models.
• Experience driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Comfortable driving hybrid and electric vehicles.
• Previous professional driving or vehicle compound experience is desirable.
• Reliable, safety conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
