Job summary

Travail Employment Group is seeking a proactive yard assistant for a UK recycling operation. The role requires an in-date FLT Counterbalance licence and a hands-on approach to loading, unloading and machine support.

You will follow SOPs, perform safety inspections, keep the yard tidy, and contribute to continuous improvement while working across day and night shifts. The company supports development and a strong health & safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate production and recycling equipment safely and efficiently.

• Keep the yard clean and tidy and move assets around the site.
• Support continuous improvement activities across the shift.
• Use a forklift and check it is safe to use.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive and reliable yard assistant to support our client's Recycling Operations team. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement are key.

You will support all areas of the recycling process, including:

• Loading and unloading materials
• Machine operation and support
• Quality sampling
• Assisting the Production Team Leader with operational updates and process improvements

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production and recycling equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow all SOPs, site procedures, and health & safety guidelines

Valid FLT / Forklift Counterbalance Licence with extensive experience
