The Best Connection is recruiting for a Counterbalance FLT Driver at our Stanton site in Bury St Edmunds. This is an all-outdoor role combining FLT operation with general yard duties, on a site newly opened for fridge recycling.

You will operate a Counterbalance and Clamp FLT safely, loading/unloading fridges, moving materials, and performing routine safety checks. Immediate starts available, with temp-to-perm prospects within a growing UK recycling business.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, in-date Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Have a minimum of 12 months Counterbalance FLT driving experience.
• Be confident working outdoors in a busy industrial, recycling, warehouse or production environment.
• Have a good understanding of safe FLT operation and workplace health and safety.
• Be reliable, practical and comfortable working as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Operating a Counterbalance / Clamp FLT safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading fridges for storage.
• Moving and positioning fridges and recyclable materials around the site.
• Carrying out general yard duties when not operating the FLT.
• Carrying out routine FLT safety checks.

• Following site health and safety procedures at all times.
• Working flexibly as part of the wider team to support the day-to-day operation.

Counterbalance FLT Driver - Stanton, Bury St Edmunds

Location: Multipark, Stanton, Bury St Edmunds, IP32 2BG

£14.00 per hour PAYE

Hours: Shifts available - Monday to Friday:

6am to 2pm

8:00am -to 4:00pm

12pm to 8pm

Contract: Temp to Permanent, Full-Time

Start: Immediate starts available

Our client, a growing recycling business operating across the UK, need you!

As part of their continued growth, they have opened a new fridge recycling site in Stanton, Bury St Edmunds and are looking for experienced Counterbalance FLT Drivers to join their new team. Previous clamp experience would be beneficial.

This is a permanent opportunity and a great chance to join the site from the outset, while benefiting from the stability and support of a larger, established recycling business.

The role

This is a all outdoor working role, combining FLT operation with general yard duties as required.

Working as part of the wider site team, you will play an important role in keeping materials moving safely and efficiently throughout the operation.

About you

To be considered for this role, you must:

Previous experience within recycling, manufacturing, warehousing or a similar operational environment would be an advantage, but isn't essential
