Job summary

21 Health and Social Care in Scotland is recruiting a Wraparound Support Worker to provide 1:1 and family-based support to children, young people and their families in the community, using tailored, trauma‑informed approaches.

You will build trusting relationships, promote wellbeing, support education engagement, and liaise with social work, health and education professionals to coordinate practical help and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children, young people, or families in a care, support, or community setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings or weekends if required.
• A trauma-informed, child-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and family-based support to children and young people
• Deliver practical, emotional, and behavioural support in home and community settings
• Work collaboratively with families to identify strengths and set achievable goals
• Support routines, boundaries, education engagement, and emotional regulation
• Liaise with professionals including social work, education, health, and third-sector services
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care and support plans
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive outcomes at all times
