Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD seeks an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our growing independent workshop in Bicester. You will perform routine servicing, general mechanical repairs, brake and clutch overhauls, timing belt replacements, and use modern diagnostic equipment on customer vehicles to high industry standards.

Based in Bicester, this role offers a friendly, supportive environment with a focus on quality workmanship and honest advice.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent).
• Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repair.
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.
• DVSA MOT Smart Card or F-Gas certification is advantageous, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and general mechanical repairs.
• Brake and clutch overhauls, timing belt replacements, and systematic diagnostic fault-finding using modern equipment.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 basic per annum (tailored directly to your hands-on experience and technical skill level)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (100% WEEKEND FREEDOM with strictly zero weekend shifts required!)

Seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our growing independent workshop team in Bicester. You will carry out routine servicing, general mechanical repairs, brake and clutch overhauls, timing belt replacements, and systematic diagnostic fault-finding using modern equipment across customer vehicles to high industry standards.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) with a proven track record in a professional workshop setting
• Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repair
• Valid DVSA MOT Smart Card or F-Gas certification is advantageous, but not essential
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools
