Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Oxford seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our professional workshop. You will perform routine servicing and maintenance across multiple makes, diagnose faults, and carry out Taxi and VSI inspections with full internal training provided.

Work in a modern facility with advanced diagnostic tools, a staff-first, non-corporate culture, and a supportive team. Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, with Saturdays on a rotating shift. On-site parking available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or City & Guilds equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.
• F-Gas certification is preferred or an interest in obtaining it.
• Strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance across various vehicle makes and models.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and conduct Taxi/VSI inspections.
• Maintain workshop flow and work collaboratively in a modern independent facility.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic per annum (tailored directly to technical experience and skill level)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, with Saturdays on a rotating shift pattern

You will perform routine servicing and maintenance across various vehicle makes and models, diagnose electrical & mechanical faults, conduct Taxi and VSI inspections (with full internal training provided), and work collaboratively to maintain a smooth workshop flow.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools
• Active F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it)
• Strong diagnostic skills, high attention to detail, and a collaborative team attitude
