Zusammenfassung

U-Drive are recruiting for a positive and 'can-do' professional Vehicle Technician for our Bristol workshop. The role focuses on maintaining and servicing our fleet, primarily LCVs, with some car work, in a permanent 42-hour week from Monday to Friday.

You will liaise with the Operations team, perform scheduled maintenance, and conduct tests and diagnostics to ensure safety and roadworthiness across our fleet.

Qualifikationen

• Level 2 LV maintenance and repair qualification required.
• Level 3 LV mechanical/maintenance preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a mechanic with LCV focus.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate and prioritise works with the Operations team.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on LCVs and some cars.
• Conduct test drives, inspections and diagnostics.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and ensure roadworthiness.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT.

As a Workshop Vehicle Technician, your primary responsibility is to ensure a comprehensive and efficient maintenance and service operation for our fleet, working from our Bristol workshop with a focus on LCVs alongside some car work.

Become a vital part of our growing team! We are currently offering a permanent position for a Workshop Vehicle Technician. The standard work week is 42 hours, Monday to Friday.

Our Technicians are positive 'can-do' professionals with a drive to consistently provide the best service. As a Workshop Vehicle Technician, your primary responsibility is to ensure a comprehensive and efficient maintenance and service operation for all vehicles, primarily LCVs with some car work, based at our Bristol workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise closely with the Operations team in coordinating and prioritising works
• Perform scheduled maintenance on both customer and U-Drive vehicles, primarily LCVs with some cars
• Conduct test drives, inspections, and diagnostic tests to identify and address vehicle issues
• Execute preventive maintenance inspections, guaranteeing the safety and roadworthiness of all vehicles
• Prepare vehicles for MOT
• Service and maintain all vehicles to the highest standard
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Maintain accurate records for works completed and parts used

About You

• At least a Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical, Maintenance, and Repair is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Mechanic, with strong LCV experience.
• Demonstrable technical, electrical, and diagnostic expertise.
• Experience with tablet-based job recording and clear written communication on tablet-based jobs.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
