Job summary

U-Drive are recruiting a competent vehicle technician to join our Poole workshop, maintaining a fleet of around 4,000 vehicles and working a 42-hour week on a Monday-Friday rota.

You’ll work with a professional team delivering servicing, diagnostics and repairs, while keeping detailed records and communicating repair options to customers. A Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification and a full UK driving license are essential.

Qualifications

• Holding a valid UK driving license is essential.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Positive, proactive attitude with good customer-facing skills.
• Professional presentation at all times.
• Strong communication with colleagues and customers.
• Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake pre-planned vehicle maintenance on customer and U-Drive vehicles.
• Perform diagnostics, test drives and determine parts to repair or replace.
• Carry out preventative maintenance including servicing and brake replacement.
• Generate repair timelines and estimates and discuss options with customers.
• Maintain accurate records of customers, vehicles, parts and service history.
• Use workshop equipment to carry out maintenance and repairs as directed.
