Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a Workshop Technician (HGV) to inspect, service, maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment across the borough. You will contribute to essential services with a flexible, proactive approach.
The role offers training and development opportunities, including MOT Tester status, with a supportive workshop team and structured shift patterns. Permanent employment and pension are provided.
Salary of up to £38,510 per annum
Permanent, 37 hours per week

As a Workshop Technician (HGV), you will inspect, service, maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment, helping to ensure essential services continue to operate effectively across the borough.
No two days are the same. One day you could be servicing a refuse collection vehicle, the next carrying out diagnostics on a gritter, repairing specialist plant equipment, or preparing a minibus for service.
Every repair and maintenance task you complete plays a direct role in supporting the services that local residents rely upon every day.

Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Friday: 6:00am - 1:30pm
Monday to Thursday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
Friday: 10:00am - 5:30pm
You will also participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
