Nottingham City Council is seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic to join our Fleet Services team at Eastcroft Depot, Nottingham. You will service, repair and inspect a broad range of vehicles including HGVs, light commercials and municipal vehicles, with a focus on safety and reliability.
The role is on-site with some hybrid working possibilities and offers a generous pension, 26 days leave plus bank holidays and a competitive overtime rate.
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 37 hours per week plus overtime at time-and-a-half after 5 hours - plenty available
Monday–Friday - occasional weekend shifts may be offered for bank holiday cover, on a voluntary basis 34 days holiday (incl. bank holidays) – rising to 41 days after 5 years
Working Type: On-site worker
Salary: £37,563 – £40,444 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) Overtime rates are based on time-and-a-half of the basic hourly rate; actual overtime is paid at single time for the first 5 hours, increasing to time-and-a-half thereafter)
Plus £980 yearly tool allowance (paid pro rata'd per month)
