Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is seeking a skilled Workshop Technician in Chandlers Ford to support the safe, efficient delivery of workshop manufacturing, maintenance and operational activities. You will manufacture, assemble, maintain and repair equipment to engineering drawings and specifications.

The role also involves assisting with equipment mobilisation, logistics and on-site deployments as needed, working closely with engineering, operations and logistics teams in a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a workshop/manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Competent use of workshop plant such as bandsaws and pillar drills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical/mechanical drawings.
• Experience measuring, marking out, cutting, drilling or assembling components.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture equipment, components and fabricated items from engineering drawings.
• Operate workshop machinery including bandsaws, pillar drills, hand tools and fabrication equipment.
• Measure and mark out materials accurately from technical drawings.
• Interpret engineering and mechanical drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain workshop machinery, tools, plant and facilities.
• Support equipment preparation, mobilisation, maintenance and repairs.
• Work with engineering, technical, operations and logistics teams.
• Assist with on-site activities and operational deployments when required.
