Job summary

Active Staff in the United Kingdom is seeking a Workshop Technician to maintain specialist equipment and ensure it remains in pristine condition. The role suits someone with plant experience or previous mechanics experience, and candidates must be able to work at height (eg. servicing gantry cranes).

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm. You will work on plant equipment with light mechanical tasks, perform body alterations and repairs, inspect returned gear for damage or faults,

Qualifications

• Mechanical/hands-on experience required.
• Confident using hand and power tools.
• Able to work at height.
• Previous mechanics experience preferred on plant equipment or vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Working on plant equipment and repairing with light mechanical work.
• Body alterations and repairs to plant equipment.
• Inspecting returned equipment to identify damage, wear or faults.
• Welding.

I am pleased to be representing an industry leading company who are on the lookout for a Workshop Technician…. In this position your role will be to maintain specialist equipment ensuring it is in pristine condition. Role of Workshop Technician

• Working on Plant equipment and repairing with light mechanical work
• Body alterations and repairs to plant equipment
• Inspecting returned equipment to identify damage, wear or faults.
• welding
• Assembly duties
• Carrying out repairs, servicing, refurbishment and general maintenance
• Working to daily schedules and prioritising repairs to meet customer deadlines.

Experience of the Workshop Technician

• Mechanical/hands on experience
• Hands on individual with the willingness to get stuck in
• Confident using hand and power tools.
• Confident working at height
• Can do attitude
• Previous mechanics experience
• Experience working on plant equipment or vehicles (desirable)
