Job description

Act as the lead technical specialist within the workshop, supporting teaching staff with practical delivery, materials and equipment selection.

Support and supervise students in developing their practical skills, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.

Plan and deliver technical demonstrations, inductions and equipment training for students and staff.

Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the workshop, including maintaining high standards of organisation and housekeeping.

Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, including risk assessments, COSHH and safe systems of work.

Manage tools, equipment and stock, including ordering materials, liaising with suppliers and conducting regular stock audits.
