Oakmoor Recruitment is seeking a practical Workshop Technician in Witney, Oxfordshire to support daily training operations at a busy centre. The role covers preparing workshops, setting up and maintaining tools and training rigs, and ensuring stock and consumables are well managed.

You'll work Monday to Friday, with a starting salary of £28,000 plus benefits. Candidates should have hands-on trade experience, solid health & safety awareness, and good organisational and problem-solving skills to

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

Hours: Monday to Friday

Our client is a well-established specialist training provider delivering practical, industry-focused training to apprentices and professionals across the technical trades.

They are looking for a Workshop Technician to support the day-to-day running of their training centre.

The Role

• Prepare workshops for practical training sessions.
• Set up and maintain tools, equipment and training rigs.
• Manage stock and consumables.
• Carry out basic maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure workshops are clean, organised and safe.
• Support trainers during practical sessions.

About You

We're looking for someone practical and organised with a trade or technical background, such as electrical, plumbing, gas, mechanical or construction.

You'll need:

• Hands-on trade or workshop experience.
• Good Health & Safety awareness.
• Good organisational skills.
• A practical approach to problem solving.

Workshop or equipment maintenance experience would be advantageous.
