Job summary

Nationwide Platforms is seeking a dedicated Workshop Service Engineer to join our depot team in the UK. You will inspect, repair and maintain powered access machines, with full training provided.

A strong mechanical/electrical background and a proactive attitude are essential to ensure safety and reliability for customers. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with competitive salary, life assurance, Westfield health plan, 25 days holiday and pension.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
• Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• Excellent customer service is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and depot, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specs and company policy.
• Repair machines at depot or on site to meet specifications.
• Perform planned maintenance and maintain fleet appearance to corporate standards.
• Handover machines to customers and demonstrate safe operation.
• Complete all paperwork including engineer reports, off-hire, PDIs and service sheets.
• Update systems with machine status changes (PDI carried out, machine under repair, inspections).
