Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Workshop Plant Fitter for a workshop-based role in the Leeds area. You will maintain, repair, and refurbish a wide range of heavy plant machinery, ensuring high safety and reliability.

Working Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm with overtime paid at 1.4. A professional qualification in Heavy Vehicle/Plant Maintenance and a full UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle/Plant Maintenance and Repair.
• Relevant experience in the last 2 years.
• Experience working on heavy plant machinery in a workshop.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS Card advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and servicing on heavy plant machinery.
• Conduct mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs.
• Complete component rebuilds, strip-downs, and refurbishment of machinery and plant equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Carry out safety inspections and pre-hire checks.
• Ensure all equipment complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Plant Fitter to join a large and reputable plant company. This is a workshop-based role maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing a wide range of heavy plant machinery and equipment, ensuring all machinery is maintained to the highest standards and is safe and fit for purpose.

The Role:

• Carry out routine maintenance and servicing on heavy plant machinery and equipment

• Experience working on heavy plant machinery or similar equipment within a workshop environment
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge
• Confident with fault finding and diagnostics
• Full UK driving licence
