Octane Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Workshop Manager for a busy Vans & HGV workshop in Oldbury. This off-the-tools role emphasizes leadership, workshop performance and people management to keep fleets available and compliant.

You will oversee technicians, plan workloads, coordinate servicing and repairs, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience managing automotive/commercial vehicle workshops.
• Strong knowledge of vans/LCVs/HGVs.
• Proven leadership and people-management skills.
• Understanding of workshop productivity and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of a busy van, LCV and HGV workshop.
• Lead, support and develop a team of Vehicle Technicians.
• Plan workloads and allocate resources effectively.
• Coordinate servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs.
• Monitor productivity and workshop KPIs.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to required standards.
