Job summary

Stagecoach Group Limited is seeking a Workshop Manager at Inverness Depot to lead a diverse team of Engineers, Technicians and Cleaners, ensuring vehicles are clean, safe and road-ready.

You will work with the Engineering Manager to schedule maintenance, develop the team, and uphold health, safety and environmental standards in line with Stagecoach policies.

As Workshop Manager, you’ll play a central role in ensuring our fleet is clean, safe, and road-ready. Working alongside the Engineering Manager, you’ll lead and support a diverse team of skilled colleagues, including Engineers, Technicians and Cleaners, creating a positive environment where people thrive.

· Quality checking vehicles after maintenance to ensure high standards are met

What we’re looking for

· Relevant engineering experience, including mechanical, electrical and bodywork knowledge

· Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant engineering field (mechanical or automotive)

· Experience managing or supervising a workshop or technical team, and a strong understanding of PCV operations

· Strong understanding of health and safety practices and regulatory standards

· A people-centred approach to leadership, with strong communication and influencing skills

· Ability to plan, analyse, and make confident decisions in a dynamic environment
