Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc in London is seeking a site supervisor with strong leadership to promote safety, manage workshops and contractors, and ensure reliable service delivery. The role requires experience with regulatory standards and on-site risk management.

You will lead a team, monitor performance, and coordinate with customers to resolve issues while maintaining high quality and cost controls. The position offers development opportunities and a stable, full-time role.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or HGV NVQ Level 3 is preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure are essential.
• IT skills and knowledge of MOT regulations are required.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture in the team and lead by example.
• Deliver KPIs including Risk and Assurance and service levels.
• Manage contractors on site and issue permits per procedures.
• Lead a workshop team and conduct performance reviews.

What you'll be doing;

Promote safety culture in the team.Lead by example, encourage reporting and feedback on incidents and eventsDelivery of Key Performance Indicators including Risk and Assurance, Fleet Compliance and Service LevelsManagement of any contractors on site including issue of permits include with appropriate company procedureManage a team of workshop technicians and support staffConduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedbackIdentify training needs and facilitate skill development opportunitiesAct as the primary point of contact for key customersAddress customer inquiries and resolve issues promptlyMonitor timely delivery of products and servicesMaintain high standards of quality to meet
customer expectationsEnsure agreed operational targets are achieved in respect of Risk and Assurance performance, asset availability, reliability and costs, whilst effectively managing all operational and asset related risksReport and dealing with (if appropriate) safety and environmental concerns (spills/leaks/litter/safe stacking of packaged waste /clean and well maintained bunds/odours or dust)Support line management with technical information to aid budget planningCAPEX specificationContinually monitor equipment / performance and set plans to improve reliability of the processes and equipmentEnsure equipment is serviced and maintained in accordance with the statutory regulations such as LOLER, PUWER and manufacturer recommendationsAssist or complete health and safety monitoring to include VMR inspections, equipment inspections and report all accidents, incidents and close callsCarry out investigations on equipment failures, determine root causes and recommend recovery plans
with cost effective solutions to prevent reoccurrenceSupport the team in planning to provide a priority list for maintenance, procurement of parts and equipment necessaryManage the preparation and review of work instructions and risk assessments

What we're looking for;

Essential: City & Guilds, or HGV NVQ level 3 vehicle maintenance and repairs LGV Category C or C+E Vocational Licence Holder Good communication skills. The ability to work under pressure, actively seek solutions to problems and having the flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks are all key attributes. IT skills MOT regulationsDesirable: Level 3 Leadership & Management or equivalent work experience Irtec Technician Licence Holder Forklift licence (Counterbalance) HGV Licence Welding/fabrication skills Plant/RCV experience Electrical knowledge Leadership experience
