Job summary

Donnelly Group is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a busy dealership workshop and drive high standards of performance, quality and customer service.

You will allocate work, oversee diagnostics and warranty authorisations, and support technicians to ensure Right First Time. A strong supervisory background and a full UK driving licence are essential for this role at our Northern Ireland locations.

Qualifications

• Ideally Master Technician level with supervisory/managerial experience.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
• 3-4 years' experience, ideally within a franchised workshop.

Responsibilities

• Manage workshop workload and allocate jobs to Technicians to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure vehicles complete the eVHC process and assist Service Advisors with costs and timings.
• Monitor repairs to ensure quality and Right First Time.
• Identify warranty repairs and obtain authorisation where required.
• Support Technicians with complex issues and escalate when needed.
• Keep Service Advisors updated on repair progress and additional work.
• Ensure Repair Orders/Job Cards are accurate and suitable for explanations and warranties.
• Carry out quality control checks, including road tests where required.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Prepare completed vehicles for customer collection.

Manage the workshop workload and allocate jobs to Technicians to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.

• Ensure vehicles complete the eVHC process and support Service Advisors with additional work requirements, costs and timings.

• Monitor repairs to ensure all work is completed correctly, efficiently and Right First Time.

• Identify warranty repairs and obtain authorisation where required.

• Support Technicians with complex technical issues, escalating where necessary.

• Keep Service Advisors updated on repair progress and any additional work identified.

• Ensure Repair Orders/Job Cards are accurate, complete and suitable for customer explanations and warranty claims.

• Carry out quality control checks, including road tests where required.

• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

• Ensure completed vehicles are prepared and ready for customer collection.

The Person

• Ideally qualified to Master Technician level with previous supervisory or workshop management experience.

• Must have at least 3-4 years' experience, ideally within a franchised workshop

• Proven experience carrying out diagnostic and electrical fault-finding repairs.

• A full UK driving licence is essential.

Required Criteria

• Ideally fully qualified to Master Technician level and have experience in a supervisory/managerial role
• A full driving licence is essential
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience is highly desirable.
