Job summary

Donnelly Group in Northern Ireland is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller for our Jaguar Land Rover team. You will lead the workshop, allocate jobs to Technicians, and drive high standards of quality, efficiency and customer service across the service department.

Ideally with Master Technician qualifications and 3–4 years in a franchised workshop, you will coordinate repairs, manage warranties, support Service Advisors, and ensure work orders are accurate and ready for customer collection.

Qualifications

• Ideally Master Technician with supervisory/managerial experience.
• Minimum 3–4 years in a franchised workshop.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the workshop workload and allocate jobs to Technicians to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure vehicles complete the eVHC process and support Service Advisors with costs and timings.
• Monitor repairs to ensure work is completed correctly, efficiently and Right First Time.
• Identify warranty repairs and obtain authorisation where required.
• Support Technicians with complex issues, escalating when needed.
• Keep Service Advisors updated on progress and any additional work identified.
• Ensure Repair Orders/Job Cards are accurate and suitable for customer explanations and warranty claims.
• Carry out quality checks, including road tests where required.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Prepare vehicles for customer collection.

• Ensure completed vehicles are prepared and ready for customer collection.

The Person

• Ideally qualified to Master Technician level with previous supervisory or workshop management experience.
• Must have at least 3 - 4 years experience, ideally within a franchised workshop.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
