Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking a Workshop Lead Technician in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire. The role oversees maintenance mobilisation, factory acceptance testing, and the supervision of workshop technicians to ensure adherence to company procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical and/or hydraulic background with a high degree of technical proficiency.
Experience in leading and mentoring a team of Technicians.
Ability to drive continuous improvement and efficiency in a workshop environment.
Experience in the operation and maintenance of subsea and offshore deck equipment.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance mobilisation and FAT work in line with procedures and policy.
Lead Workshop Technicians and personnel to adhere to quality procedures and standards.
Drive workshop continuous improvement strategies and participate in QHSE improvements.
Identify areas of improvement and promote use of mobile devices and smart software to drive efficiency.
Maximise tool time and efficiency by motivating the team to raise standards.
Provide flexible leadership of overtime and manage cost efficiencies in workflows.
Conduct Off Hire inspections and participate in equipment breakdown reports.
