Interaction Technical is partnering with a leading materials handling business to recruit an experienced Workshop Engineer for their Grantham depot. The role focuses on servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment within a busy workshop, with ongoing manufacturer training and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering skills.
• Good hydraulic and electrical fault-finding ability.
• Experience on engines and mobile machinery.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults.
• Carry out planned maintenance and safety inspections.
• Complete major repairs and component replacements.
• Prepare new and used equipment for customer delivery.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs).
• Accurately complete workshop documentation.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety.

The Role

As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment within a busy workshop environment.

You will work as part of an experienced engineering team, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards before being returned to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults
• Carry out planned maintenance and safety inspections
• Complete major repairs and component replacements
• Prepare new and used equipment for customer delivery
