Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Workshop Forklift Engineer to service, maintain and repair a broad range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment. You will identify and resolve mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues, and perform LOLER inspections to keep equipment compliant.

This role requires proven diesel engine experience, capability with electrics and hydraulics, and the ability to work independently while delivering a high level of customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel engines.
• Experience with electrics and hydraulics preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full UK driving licence.

Job Title: Workshop Forklift Engineer

Basic Salary: £27,000 - £35,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:40pm (40 hours)

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on a broad range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
• Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure all equipment remains fully compliant
• Completing safety checks and pre-delivery inspections

What you’ll need:

• Proven experience of diesel engines required
• Experience with electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic skills preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• A professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude
• Full UK driving licence

Your Package:

• Basic Salary: £27,000 - £30,000
• 25 days holiday +b/h (increasing holiday entitlement to 28 days plus bank holidays from Jan 27, then 30 from Jan 28.)
• 5% pension contribution, private medical cover after service
