Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Workshop Forklift Engineer in the West of England. Salary £27,000 - £30,000 with a 40-hour week, Mon-Fri, 8am-4:40pm.

You will service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment, diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues, and perform LOLER inspections plus safety checks and pre-delivery verifications. A full UK driving licence is required and you will work independently with a professional, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Diesel engine experience is essential.
• Electrical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills are preferred.
• Able to work independently with a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.

Job Title: Workshop Forklift Engineer

Basic Salary: £27,000 - £30,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:40pm (40 hours)

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on a broad range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
• Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure all equipment remains fully compliant
• Completing safety checks and pre-delivery inspections

What you’ll need:

• Proven experience of diesel engines required
• Experience with electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic skills preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• A professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude
• Full UK driving licence
