Job summary

Silcom Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to oversee a busy automotive workshop near Southampton. You will lead a team of skilled technicians, schedule work, monitor productivity, and ensure high service standards are maintained.

You will liaise with customers, review estimates and invoices, manage rotas and health and safety, and drive performance through effective leadership. Basic salary up to £34,000 plus a bonus, Monday to Friday 08:00-18:00, no weekends.

• Manage inventory of parts and workshop supplies.
• Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of workshop equipment.
• Implement and enforce health and safety standards.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join a highly regarded client of ours, based on the outskirts of Southampton.

This role will interest people from both Portsmouth & Southampton areas due to the location.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of skilled technicians and ensure the smooth operation of the workshop. Main dealership experience is preferredfor this position, as you'll be instrumental in driving performance and maintaining exceptional service standards.
