Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Cardiff is seeking a Workshop Controller to oversee daily workshop operations at our Cardiff Depot. You will delegate workload to technicians and occasionally work on the tools as needed to meet demands.

The role requires MOT preparation experience and previous Workshop Controller experience in an HGV workshop, with appropriate technical qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is available.

Qualifications

• Time Served Technician or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Repairs.
• MOT preparation experience is required.
• Experience at Workshop Controller level in HGV workshop is required.
• Appropriate technical qualifications as a base requirement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day to day running of all areas of the workshop, delegate workload to the technicians.
• This is a productive position so you will be on the tools when required.
• Complete service and repair documentation and records in accordance with company requirements and standards.
• Overhaul of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and other workshop equipment.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, both electronically and paper based.

Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Workshop Controller at our busy Cardiff Depot.

• Shift Options 40 Hour Week
• Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm & Basic Salary around £45,000 Per Annum + Company Bonus

The Workshop Controller Role

• Oversee the day to day running of all areas of the workshop, delegate workload to the technicians.
• This is a productive position so you will be on the tools when required.
• Complete service and repair documentation and records in accordance with company requirements and standards.
• Overhaul of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and other workshop equipment.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, both electronically and paper based.

Requirements

The core skills and qualifications required for a Workshop Controller are:

• Appropriate technical qualifications.
• Time Served Tech or NVQ C&G Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Repairs
• MOT preparation experience
• Experience at Workshop Controller level in HGV worksop
